This whole project began almost exactly a year ago so it’s so exciting to be to finally share it with you! I visited with the @mrjoneswatches team in May 2024 and we started discussing ideas and they showed me some examples of their watches! These watches seriously defy the ordinary, so space felt like the perfect concept - as there are no rules; no up or down! Plus I could really get lost in creating a whole mini galaxy on this tiny canvass that lives on your wrist - it’s a love letter to retro futurism, the sci-fi geek inside Me will die very happy indeed!⁠ ⁠⁠•⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ To tell the time; there’s a spinning vortex for seconds which is always moving then a comet which revolves around the outside marking the minutes and the Hour is shown in the Rocket ship window! Finally there’s an engraving at the back which each watch getting a unique number! I loved completing this project by designing a wraparound space pattern for the packaging. The design is called ‘Continuum’ and it’s only available for 24hrs from 8am on Friday the 2nd of May.
