THE ABCs OF CRAFT  ‘A’ is for Apple | Part I of a new animated series celebrating our commitment to Italian craftsmanship — and the materials and practices that make our bags so special. Featured in select styles, our soft and durable Apple leather is a plant-based material made by upcycling fruit waste from apple juice production. Partnering with apple juice producers in Italy’s South Tyrol, we combine their leftover apple pomace and peels with recycled polyester and cotton to create our 100% vegan Apple leather. The end result is as soft and smooth as our finest calfskin.
