fall, like every season, is about appreciating. it’s about stopping, looking, feeling, and deciding to let the outside world really seep into your skin. because throughout the day, you build up barriers: deadlines, to-do lists, decisions to make, consequences to face. those things stack and stack, higher and higher, until nothing else can get in. but all that stuff happening outside those walls? it’s life. it’s everything. it’s the whole world. every leaf you see in that pile used to live up in that tree with all its friends. it, too, is life. it’s playing a part. when stress stacks up, it’s easy to feel like locking yourself away is the only way to self-preserve. and as cold weather waits on the horizon, that feeling only grows stronger. opening yourself to what life has to offer starts to feel like too much. in which case, we’d submit a few words for your consideration: life isn’t easy. life isn’t perfect.
