I’ve worn KUHL for years. It was always gear that worked, fit well, and did what it was supposed to do. That’s what matters to me. This winter I put the Klash pants and Aktivator hoody through real conditions: freezing temperatures, steady snowfall, and long miles in the mountains. What stood out most was how breathable the system was during high output, but still kept me reasonably dry when the snow picked up. I didn’t need to throw on a hard shell right away, even in wet snow. That’s the kind of gear I pay attention to, the kind you stop thinking about because it just does its job.
