“My friend @gabbypalko has a powerful story. One in which her entire world fell apart when her father died from ALS when she was 23. She was with him every step of the way for 5 years watching him go from Superman to not being able to do anything on his own. ‘My world turned upside down. Nothing seemed to matter and everything seemed to matter. Old beliefs dissolved away, social expectations gone to hell, any and all plans cast with them.’ So she said f*** it to everything, moved to Alaska, and ended up living on a small sailboat to live a life well lived.
