Hero WOD honoring Staff Sgt. Michael H. Simpson — a Green Beret, husband, father, and dedicated soldier. Originally from San Antonio, Simpson served with the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) and completed three overseas deployments. He enlisted in 2003 and earned his Green Beret in 2011. He gave his life in service to his country May 2, 2013, from wounds sustained from an IED in Afghanistan. His service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
