It’s still very much a work in progress but here’s how my bedroom is looking at my parents’ house! It’s the same room I had from like 2014-2022 so if you remember that room (or feel like scrolling back a few years lol) the bed is now where my dresser used to be. I love having it in the window, it is so dreamy!! Why I am leaving my apartment is a very long story and I feel like I’ve already overshared too much in the last year lol… but suffice to say I had a lot of problems with my apartment and I’m not renewing my lease. Since the AC doesn’t work (among many, many other concerns) I started my move early and I’m already pretty settled back at home. I have about a month to finish emptying out my apartment, and after moving 3 times in as many years I am kind of fed up with all of my stuff 😂 I already majorly downsized when I moved from my house to my apartment but I’ve been donating sooo much this time and trying to be less attached to my things so that the next time I move it’ll be a lot easier. Did I anticipate I’d be back home again after I was *finally* able to buy my own house in 2023? No, I did not 🤣 But life is a series of ups and downs and I’m looking forward to the next UP! Living with my parents for a bit will hopefully allow me to build up some savings again and get back on my feet. And it gives me something to look forward to … like having my own bathroom all to myself again someday! An IBS girlie’s dream. I know I’ve been such a Debbie Downer this past year, but social media is usually so glossy and people tend to hide the messy parts of their life so that everyone only sees the perfection. I really hope that when I’m being honest about my life that it’s helpful for someone else. That if anyone else in their 30s is struggling with setbacks or having to move back home or not feeling like they’ve gotten where they wanted to at this age that you can relate to my story and know that you’re not alone. Some of us just do not have it all together, and that’s ok! We live on our own timelines, and hopefully the future still holds great things for us 💖 #interior #pinkhouse #interioreccentric #hgtvhandmadehome
