⛈️Storm season 🤝🏼 power outages + breastmilk🍼 Breastmilk in the freezer + power outage or freezer breaks — check your milk! Per the CDC, If there are ice crystals present it CAN be refrozen and used later!! We just went through a storm + 3 day power outage and I had some milk in the freezer— some was still fully frozen and some partially thawed with ice chunks. The partially thawed was able to be refrozen since there were still ice crystals and frozen chunks. YAY! If milk completely thaws, it needs to be used within 24 hours from thawed otherwise used for non-consumption purposes like a milk bath, milk jewelry, soaps, etc 🥲 Have you ever gone through an outage or broken freezer situation? Save this for later in case you do!! 💓
