freezer stash who? typically the amount needed for returning to work is what your baby will take while away from you during your workday. if you’d like/are able to save a little more, great! if not, that is okay. the goal is then replenishing what baby will take the next day while you’re pumping at work. for some women, having a little “extra” that they saved from their milk collectors early on eases their anxieties about not pumping enough while away (I did this with a few of mine since as a floor nurse I didn’t know how many pump breaks I’d get) and that is so fine! while for others, they feel more comfortable with a stocked freezer so they work hard to put away a stash from the start. or maybe even become a milk donating girlie (💓💓) but not every mom can do this and that is OKAY! with freezers filled to the brim with frozen bags of milk, women boasting a huge oversupply as “what I pump in a day” or “here’s how to pump this much milk”, it’s hard to know what constitutes as normal anymore! while having an oversupply is lovely in some aspects (🍼), it’s not always all it’s cracked up to be (trust me, been there myself!🥲). It’s also not *needed* in order to have a thriving baby. I have a highlight on this if you truly need some oversupply help and info! NOW, everyone is different in what’s doable for them, and what’s comfortable to keep stocked. What amount makes you feel good? Are you able to set any aside on top of what your baby is eating? These are all varying factors! Were you an undersupplier? oversupplier? just-enougher? didn’t breastfeed? guess what? any of these make you a great mom. you are MORE THAN how you feed your baby💓
