did you know you don’t HAVE TO SWITCH to whole milk at 1? I remember feeling like whole milk must have something my milk didn’t and didn’t want my baby to “miss out” or not “grow properly” if I continued breastfeeding and didn’t switch to whole milk. if breastfeeding is working for both you and your baby and you’d like to continue alongside solids, there is no need to stop just to switch over to whole milk. milk from another mammal does not have some magical entity that yours doesn’t. if you’re just done, or met the goal you waited, or it’s no longer working, then yes whole milk is a an option too! either way, I wish there was more support and less judgement/misinformation about benefits of breastmilk just magically poofing into thin air the moment your baby turns one. have you ever been told this?
