CLIMBING RORAIMAS WALL 🇻🇪 After base camp we still have to walk a bit to the towering wall and then climb it. Sometimes it is steep and we have to climb with hands and feet. No equipment needed. At the wall we rest for 15 minutes and the guide lets us touch the wall to ask permission to climb it and they ask for a safe return to this mysterious mountain. A ritual that he repeats every time he climbs this mountain. From here it is steep up, a lot of climbing and we pass a slippery and wet part underneath the waterfall. They call this part: “El Paso de las lagrimas” (pass of tears) because even in the dry season there is water here. After five hours of climbing 🧗 and 1000m higher we arrive at the top of Roraima.
