I just recorded my tribute to RTB for JHRA. It brought back so many wonderful memories that flooded in after I’d finished recording it and I cried. I’ll continue crying because that man had a profound impact on my working practices, musical philosophy and life in general. For a few years he was a dear friend indeed and I loved him. They really only made one RTB, he was a force of nature and he continues to inspire me. His work was unparalleled and looking back at the photographs and seeing footage of him speaking has reminded me that I wouldn’t be the person I am without having been in his orbit for that period of time. What an amazing man. RIP RTB.
