Cats vs. birds. I'm calling it: false choice. I'm walking through a bird sanctuary with 240 species of birds, and all I can think is: why do we keep telling ourselves we have to choose? Cat person. Bird person. It's not a rivalry. The @lanaicatsanctuary on the island of Lanai in Hawaii gets it. You step off the boat, walk into a cat sanctuary, and the first thing you see is a pedestal with a guide to every native bird on the island. That's what it looks like when love for all animals lives in the same space. We need more of that. Love the birds. Love the cats. Love them all. Watch the reel and tell me: what animals are YOU holding space for?
