I avoided performance shirts for years because you can always tell. The tell is usually the surface. Most technical fabric has a shine to it that reads synthetic the second someone is close enough to shake your hand. This one is a dobby weave, so the texture is built into the fabric instead of printed on top of it, and there’s an amber thread running through it you can’t see from a few feet away.
