the jeans 👖 they're something we talk about a lot, especially this time of year.⁠ ⁠ the moniker itself is intentionally ambiguous: our denim ranges from heavily washed jeans, to double-knee work pants, to military trousers -- but for me, "the jeans" always translates to our rigid denim.⁠ ⁠ the jeans you see in the before and after photos are mine. i bought them back in august of 2019 when we first re-introduced our original fit, the "willie", in our current core selvage denim.⁠ ⁠ despite being the dog days of summer, i stubbornly wore them in the heat for a month straight, eager to break them in. to be frank, i typically prefer black denim, but there's something about the way that indigo chips and breaks down over time that can't be matched by other shades.⁠ ⁠ i can look at this pair of jeans and see repairs, stains, and fades that conjure up more memories from the past 6 years than i can count -- and even after all that time, they're still more than ready to be a part of the memories that i've yet to make. ⁠ ⁠ you might think a pair of jeans is just that: a pair of jeans. but they're more than that -- they're a story, and it's never too late to start writing. ⁠ ⁠ warmly,⁠ z⁠ ⁠ ---⁠ ⁠ our core indigo rigid selvage denim: now restocked in henry, barton, charlie, lewis, and willie.⁠ ⁠ ( + link in bio )⁠
