There is only one Mr. October. Reggie Jackson, the 14× All-Star, the 5× World Series champion, the 2× World Series MVP, and the first-ballot Hall of Famer.⁣ ⁣ Jackson began his career helping the Athletics win three straight World Series, being crowned the World Series MVP in 1973.⁣ ⁣ Reggie spent a season in Baltimore before making his way to the Big Apple. The two-time World Series Champ for the Yankees hit an unprecedented three homers in 1977 World Series Game 6, clinching the title for New York and earning him a nickname that's never been matched.⁣ ⁣ He would go on to spend his golden years in the Golden State. Crossing the 500 home run mark, seventeen years to the day after his first, in sunny California with the Angels.⁣ ⁣ Mr. October would sign a 1-year contract to retire as an Oakland A. Pay homage to one of the best hitters to ever grace home plate.
