The tea behind the powder. 🍵 - Shown here are clips from our sourcing trip to Uji where we saw the process of picking, and processing of the shaded tea leaves that make Matcha. The leaves are partially processed and then purchased at auction, where tasters assess the leaf’s characteristics, as well as the sweetness and umami of the brew. Finally, those leaves will be processed into Tencha, and eventually become powdered Matcha.
