Love & Longevity have been core values at GU, and we can’t think of two people who embody that more than Kelly and Jack, who are both celebrating 30 years with GU! - Kelly joined the company in 1996 when GU CEO, Brian Vaughan, recruited her from a training program in Oakland’s Chinatown. Brian interviewed Kelly and he was so impressed that he hired her on the spot! Soon after, Kelly brought in her husband Jack to inspect a machine that wasn’t running properly. He fixed it in record time. Brian and his father, Dr. Bill Vaughan, GU founder, immediately offered Jack a position.  - Kelly & Jack saw GU through many challenges and growing pains, and 30 years later, they are still the go-to machine experts at our Berkeley headquarters. More importantly, they are exemplary members of our “GU Crew” – always helping community, showing up for movement & athletic events, and actively building our company culture.
