For Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to share something that feels really personal and close to my heart 🤍 My name is Krista and I work on the marketing team here at Grey Bandit. For so long, I viewed my anxiety as something I needed to fight, hide, or “fix.” My therapist actually taught me a tool where you name your anxiety to help separate it from yourself, because I am not my anxiety. This post is my way of personifying mine and giving her a name because underneath all the overthinking and fear, she’s really just a part of me trying to keep me safe. I’m learning that healing isn’t always about battling yourself. Sometimes it’s about understanding yourself with more compassion and learning how to comfort the parts of you that are scared. If you struggle with anxiety too, I hope this reminds you that you are not broken, weak, or alone 🤍 Mental Health Awareness Month will always mean a lot to me because conversations like these matter more than people realize. Also wanted to give credit to @sophied_fit for inspiring this beautiful concept! #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #mentalhealth #anxiety #anxietyawareness
