It comes from our recycling partner in Taiwan, who has many years of experience in recycling used nets. Disposing of old fishing nets is costly and labor-intensive. As a result, these nets often end up in the environment or the ocean, where, as so-called ghost nets, they cause uncontrolled damage. Our partner sources end-of-life nets from manufacturers and fisheries and chemically recycles them into new raw materials for nylon. We use RE:NYNET® for products that benefit from the soft and lightweight properties of this material.
