Our ongoing collaboration with iconic designer Alexander Girard continues this week with the release of two prints he created during his tenure as head of fabric and textiles at Herman Miller. For those unfamiliar, Girard was a true American design visionary who helped shape the look and feel of Mid-Century Modern through his work in textiles, furniture, typography, and branding. His bold, joyful aesthetic—developed alongside longtime collaborators Charles Eames and George Nelson—remains as influential today as ever. June (1964) and Cutouts (1954) arrive this Thursday, alongside a few favorites from previous collaborative capsules. More on Girard’s legacy—and the upcoming release—soon. Stay tuned.
