Today marks the beginning of @londoncraftweek, an annual event showcasing the talent and skill of industry artists, designers, and makers. With a rich selection of craft disciplines on display, our eye has been drawn to this event at The Garden Museum. Celebrating the arrival of spring and the East Asian cherry blossom, textile artist Sara Cook leads a pretty pink installation of 4,800 hand-stitched and hand-dyed silk mandus (Korean dumplings). The idea is that the display draws on the tradition of gathering beneath blossom trees to share food and well-wishes. We're always intrigued and inspired when silk is woven into creative projects, and this looks gorgeous! Supported by @britishkoreansociety, the exhibition will be on show at 5 Lambeth Place Road until the 17th May.
