divine dynasty 🐉 Fun fact: I design a dragon print every year at FRW and I alternate between Western and Eastern dragons. Dynasty and Shadowflame are Eastern dragons, while Drackonis and Forbidden are Western. The main differences between the two are their appearance, associations and their symbolism. Strap in for a quick lesson on the Eastern dragon magic yall, and stay turned for western! 🐉 The eastern dragon is a flowing and delicate, yet hella powerful being. It has a long, slender, serpentine body, can have two or four legs and has no wings but still flies. It also typically has branched antlers, long whiskers and a beard. 🐉 Symbolically, the eastern dragon is far more peaceful than the western. It’s a divine being associated with balance, harmony, prosperity and wisdom. Often found in deeply spiritual places in Eastern cultures, it can be seen as a symbol of where the heavens begin. 🐉 Elemental associations include water, clouds, the cosmos and the heavens. yanno that otherworldly existence type shit Now as much as I love teaching yall shit lol that all has meaning in how I styled the look! I went for a little bit of a ninja vibe, adding some costume pieces to the mesh Wavy Baby bodysuit and flowy Jelly Bottoms. I wanted to incorporate the flow fans because imo they mirror the essence of the Eastern dragon: balance, air and divine movement... nailing the flowing spiritual energy I wanted to capture for this look 🤗🤭
