Wrapping up this personal project. This black walnut table top came from one of the first tables that I built years ago. Underneath are some of my wife and I’s favorite song lyrics that I burned into the wood by hand. The old table didn’t suit our space anymore, so I wanted to find out a way to transform it into a smaller table, but still keep the sentimental lyrics underneath and visible.
