This week’s Farm Box is curated by Diego Moya of @littlemountainsb — Montecito’s most-loved chef. Born in Chile and raised in his family’s Long Island pizzeria, Diego has cooked his way through kitchens in Lima, Bangkok, and Paris, including the legendary L’Arpège. He brings a global eye, a farmer’s reverence, and a very good instinct for what wants to be eaten right now. For this box, that spirit goes full summer: first-pick watermelons, Sun Gold tomatoes, Monterey strawberries, eggplants, asparagus, and purple bell peppers for the grill. Fresh herbs, eggs from Munak Ranch, and a loaf of charcoal sourdough from Oat Bakery bring the whole thing together. In Diego’s words, the hope is simple: that people have beautiful meals with friends and family. Which is, frankly, the whole point. ***** In observance of Juneteenth, all Farm Box deliveries will be completed on Thursday. The entire Flamingo team — office, warehouse, Fresh Food team, and kitchen staff — will be closed on Friday, June 19, in respect of the holiday. X Richard
