24 HOURS IN PALM BEACH: My New Year’s resolution was to be GREAT to the people who have been good to us. There’s so much goodwill for Flamingo, and that was built entirely by people who supported us when we were just a scrappy little idea in my garden. So I’m spending more time on the road right now, meeting store owners who’ve had our back. There are almost 700 in total. Near the top of the list is Ivey Leidy in Palm Beach. But to call her a “store owner” doesn’t do her justice. @livingwithivey has become a powerhouse for living a good life, and nobody flies the Flamingo flag higher than her. As we all know, it’s hard work building a retail business, and I’m in awe of Ivey’s business. So I spent 24 hours in Palm Beach for the first time. More than 100 people came to say hello at Ivey’s store. I then got to spend happy time with my friend @carla.schwiderski and the Queen of Palm Beach, @sherrychris. We went looking at @showponypalmbeach for plates for my two new cookbooks, which we begin shooting in a couple of weeks, and then had an incredible dinner at the unofficial French Embassy, otherwise known as @lebilboquetpalmbeach, where all the cool French people seem to be hiding out, drinking bottles of Château Latour while playing their namesake game, Le Bilboquet.
