What a difference a week makes! We planted these shade-loving bare root perennials just a week ago and they have already produced some good growth. This shady combination idea includes two ferns, two aquilegias and two liriopes in a 30cm pot together, we also planted another aquilegia separately. These perennials should produce a pretty show of foliage and hopefully some flowers this year. Next year it will grow back and be more established. After the second year, they will have grown quite large and will either need a bigger pot, or to be separated and planted out into the garden.
