one of my fav brands (and i don’t say that lightly) @dsanddurga launched a new scent this season, ain’t that sweet, and it inspired me to bake the best cake i’ve ever made 🍰 recipe below! for the launch, they partnered with @virginiasin__ on this limited-edition, dreamy hand-built cake plate. you can get your own plate + perfume bundle exclusively on the @dsanddurga website 🤍 cinnamon roll date cake cake • 12 medjool dates, pitted + chopped • 1 cup boiling water • 3 eggs • ½ cup maple syrup • ¼ cup melted butter • 1 tsp vanilla • 1 cup flour (gf or regular) • 1 tsp baking powder • ½ tsp baking soda • ½ tsp salt • 1 tsp cinnamon topping • ½ cup brown sugar • 2 tsp cinnamon • 2 tbsp melted butter glaze • 1 cup powdered sugar • 3 tbsp milk • ¼ tsp vanilla how to 1. preheat oven to 350° + grease a 9x9 pan 2. soak dates in boiling water for 10 min, then blend smooth 3. mix topping ingredients until it looks like wet sand 4. whisk date paste, eggs, maple syrup, butter + vanilla 5. fold in flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt + cinnamon 6. pour into pan, sprinkle topping on top 7. bake 35–45 min (toothpick = a few crumbs) 8. cool 10–15 min, whisk glaze + drizzle
