Just a small moment of joy for you heading into this weekend! This footage is from December when we opened for my all time favorite band @chameleonsbandofficial at Albert Hall in Manchester. Before the show, Vox @chameleonvox asked me if I would like to sing a tune with them. I told him ABSOLUTELY! We decided on Monkeyland, as that is my favorite. That song to me has always been about finding the truth and seeing through the illusions created by humanity, and I have always loved it. No matter where life takes me, I'll be grateful for moments like. Friendship, music and magic saturated the hall that night! We're coming back to the UK next month! I wrote the song"Let Go of Time" with direct inspiration from the @jim.jarmusch film "Only Lovers Left Alive". It's a gorgeous film featuring Tilda Swinton and @twhiddleston who are vampires that are trying to find renewed purpose in "life" within the context of eternity. It really speaks to me as someone with PTSD because it seems to be about continuously finding the beauty in the world and through our relationships, especially when the luster of life is stripped away by time, disappointment and dissatisfaction. Further to yesterday’s announcement, purveyors of goth and post-punk @visionvideoband will now play @roughtradelpl on Sat 21st June 2025 which will be an all-ages matinee starting 3pm.
