Heading out for one last barefoot walk on the beach… a little yoga under the sunset, and a fresh coconut straight from the tree. As I’m soaking in the golden hour, I’m reminded of a promise I made to myself, here, on this very shore, 19 years ago, when I first set foot here and began a journey of healing.   I vowed then, under the Puerto Rican sky, that I would wear a bikini into my 70s.   Not out of vanity, but as a quiet rebellion against cancer — a declaration of love to myself. A way to honor my body not for how it looks, but for all it allows me to feel, live, and become and for the motivation to help me stay on healthy path.   That promise led me to care deeply — for the food I eat, for what I put on my skin, for the thoughts I feed my soul... It made me see beauty as a state of being, not a number.   Today, at 66, I feel more radiant, and more at peace in my skin than I did 19 years ago!   I’m not usually one to post photos of myself in a bikini — but today, I felt like daring. Not to show off, but in the hope that it might inspire someone else to celebrate their body, their path, and the quiet promises they’ve made to themselves.   Gratitude to the yoga teachers who have guided me with light… Gratitude to the woman I’ve become—for keeping her promise… Gratitude to this generous Earth that continues to offer us, in every leaf and every flower, the medicine we need to thrive.   Love yourself and everything will follow ❤️❤️❤️
