My Precious Girls, By Nwabisa The day each of you were born, my heart changed forever. Mbali, when I first held you, I was overwhelmed with love I never knew existed, you made me a mother. and watching you grow into a wise, thoughtful young woman has been my greatest pride. Qamata, when you arrived, my heart stretched even wider, you healed parts of me I didn’t even know were broken. You brought softness and joy at a time I needed it most. My precious girls, being your mother has been my life’s greatest gift. Every hug, every “Mama,” every shared giggle, l treasure it all. One day you may become mothers yourselves. If you do, I want you to know, it will challenge you, grow you, and fill your heart in ways you never imagined. There is no perfect mother, only a present one, a loving one. If you lead with love, you will do just fine. May you always be there for one another, your bond as sisters is sacred, Protect it, Nurture it and let it be your safe place. A great moment of reflection, seeing how Motherhood as a journey has been a great gift and a blessing. Since the first day I got to know you and hold you, I cannot explain the woman you’ve made me, how much wiser strong or bolder and braver I have become.
