Our good buddy Gray was able to notch his first tag! Congrats Gray we’re so pumped for you. “Turk Down! So many emotions today watching Gray fill his first hunting tag on this beautiful Tom. We sat in the a blind over a field the first two mornings with a little action but no shot opportunities. Second morning of the hunt and we decided to climb out of the blind and see if we could go locate a bird. We set up on the edge of another field and started ripping some calls. After a few minutes a Tom fired back at us. Gray thought it was in front of us and I said I think it came from behind us. As I was explaining what I thought he quickly told me “Shut up dad, he’s right there.” Not able to move to catch it on video I let out some light calls to stop him and Gray hammered him. “I did it! I did it dad!” We shared some long hugs and some tears of joy. Such an awesome experience to watch my son enjoy my passions and be so proud of himself for his accomplishment.
