Feeling very overwhelmed with our experience creating the one of the first ever judged indoor show gardens at @rhsmalvern with @greenrooms_events. To walk away with not just a gold but also Best In Show just tops it off. Forever grateful to the partnership and collaboration with @thejunglehaven and @worcesterterrariums - a true dream team! If you're visiting to Malvern make sure to stop by the indoor gardens and see the wonderful displays by @forestinterioruk, @thebeardedplantaholic and @thebotanicalarchive, @midribplants, @dibleysnurseries, @sproutsofbristol, @goodgrowing and @botanical.interiordesign. Hats off to @greenrooms_events team of Ian and @theplantrescuer for putting on THE houseplant event of the year, that just keeps on getting better.

We’re thrilled to have won Gold at the RHS Malvern Spring Show for our joint exhibit ‘A Reflection of Nature’🏅 This mirrored display demonstrates how plants can thrive in our homes when their growing conditions are informed by their natural habitat. A huge thanks to the incredible Claire @thejunglehaven and Ben @worcesterterrariums for a show-stopping collaboration 💚 A special shoutout to @greenrooms_events and @malvern.shows for all their hard work bringing A Festival of Houseplants to life these past few months. If you are heading to Malvern this week be sure to stop by our display! 🌿

Hoya Sp ‘Padang Sidempuan’ This rare Hoya which, as far as we know, is undescribed, is named after the very place it was discovered - in the forest surrounding Padang Sidempuan, a city in North Sumatra. We love the large speckled leaves on this one, giving Hoya latifolia meets Monstera Thai Constellation. Our website is bursting right now with amazing Hoya so be sure to check them out to add something special to your collection!

It’s been a while since we’ve featured an Anthurium on our feed, so it felt only right to return with something special. Anthurium kunayalense Our Anthurium kunayalense mother plant has become a real standout, with large, elongated leaves that develop a rich, velvety texture as they mature. The foliage starts out a vibrant bronze and slowly deepens into a darker green, often with subtle veining that becomes more pronounced with age. Native to the Darién region of Panama, this species comes from deeply shaded, humid rainforests, where it grows in consistently warm, sheltered conditions. It performs best in warm, stable indoor environments with high humidity and indirect light, thriving when kept evenly moist and given space to develop its large leaves. Hard not to love this one! #anthurium #anthuriumkunayalense #rareanthurium #aroidaddict #growtropicals @growtropicals

In the spotlight this week: Drymonia Chiribogana 🌿 A climbing Gesneriad native to Ecuador, Drymonia chiribogana is known for its soft, velvety leaves, deep veining, and rich, earthy colour pallette. Drymonia prefer high humidity and stable warmth, making it a great terrarium plant or suitable for growing in a cabinet. Once settled, it’s a steady grower with rewarding foliage. We have limited availability on our website - growtropicals.com #growtropicals #drymonia #drymoniachiribogana #rareplants #terrariumplants #terrariums #plantsofinstagram #aroidaddicts

In the spotlight this week; Selaginella picta 🌿 A quietly captivating species with deep green leaves and striking white veins that almost look hand-painted. The contrast is subtle but dramatic, and up close, it’s hard to look away. Native to Vietnam and neighbouring tropical regions, it prefers consistently humid, low-light environments. Its low, spreading growth makes it well-suited to terrarium settings, where it can resemble a miniature forest understory. Definitely one for our terrarium fans! #rareplants #growtropicals #houseplants #aroidaddicts #ukplantshop #selaginella #selaginellapicta
