If there’s one thing about New Yorkers - it’s that they know style, and they know it well. For Rolando [ @regular_rolando ] at our New York custom showroom, it’s all about modernizing the classics: “Shop for the long term and take a small risk with each subsequent garment,” says Rolando. “Everyone knows what a tan or navy suit looks like. Create pieces that are designed properly but with something extra that only custom can do.” Rolando and his wife wholeheartedly believe in investing in custom pieces that can carry you anywhere you’re headed in the city. He specializes in creating clothing that is utilitarian, functional, and elegant. Rolando has a standout personality, and we consider ourselves lucky to have him as a part of our work family. 🖤

Like most men who are looking for the perfect suit to get married in, Spencer knew he wanted two things: a suit that felt unique to him, and one that had the perfect fit. “Over the years, I’ve had a few custom suits made and knew it was the route I wanted to go. None of them ever really felt like me or fit how a custom suit should. With Billy Reid, I knew the same level of detail they put into their ready-to-wear line would be poured into this suit.” Spencer and his now wife travelled to Chicago and met with us to discuss all his wants in a suit. He specifically mentioned a flared pant with a strong drape, and everything from the stitching, buttons, lapel size, and shape were carefully considered with this process. Spencer took this final result to Vegas for his iconically cool chapel wedding, and looked absolutely stellar. “I look back at all the photos feeling so good about the decision. This suit has already been worn countless times—exactly how I wanted. It’s the perfect black suit: formal when needed, but versatile enough to be dressed down.” We truly couldn’t think of a more special way to be included in someone’s important day, and are so warmed and honored to be a part of Spencer + Maegan’s. As a musician himself, Billy is always looking to grow and uplift the music community. We are so honored to host an event at our Austin shop tonight supporting the SIMS Foundation - an organization devoted to support local musicians’ emotional wellness. @simsfoundation Greg Giannukos [ @greggiannukos ] is co-hosting the event with an incredible photography showcase, our friends at Lalo [ @lalospirits ] will be serving up cocktails, and we’re topping it off with live tunes from the incredibly talented, Darci Carlson. Louisiana’s rich jazz history is such an important aspect of what makes it so special. Billy celebrates Jazz Fest every year, and this year is no exception! Join Billy + the New Orleans shop crew TONIGHT, April 23rd, for a kickoff event to set off the weekend full of Jazz Fest festivities. We’ll be pouring cocktails from Cathead Distillery [ @catheaddistillery ] and passing around light bites from Black Pearl Catering Co. [ @blackpearlcateringco ]. One of our favorite local DJ’s, C'est Funk [ @cestfunk ] will be spinning his curated vinyl collection of groove inspired music from around the world to kick off the vibes for the weekend!
