When tiny kitten Tiglet arrived at Battersea, she was very ill and needed emergency medical attention. Thankfully, she received the care she needed from our expert medical team and went on foster to help her adjust to life in a home. After a month, she went to a loving home with a therapy pug named Pie and a cat called Blob as her new siblings! 💙

🙌 Good news: the Renters’ Rights Bill has made further progress, and pets in rented homes are a step closer to reality for many! The House of Lords has now debated several important improvements we want to see.⁣ ⁣ Continuing to push for protections for pet-owning tenants could help dogs like Ghost be able to stay with their owners in the future and prevent them from being given up to rescue centres like Battersea.⁣ ⁣ Ten-month-old Ghost arrived at our London Centre when his devoted owner was no longer allowed to keep pets in their rented home. Within a few weeks, the friendly boy found a loving new home where he has begun his new chapter and is thriving. Ghost’s story ultimately had a happy ending, but many other dogs and cats face an uncertain future due to needlessly restrictive pet policies.⁣ ⁣ Find out more about what we’re calling for at the link in our bio.
