Being sharp doesn't cut it. You also need to have the correct blade alignment. When the blades cross each other without a gap, the paper has nowhere to escape and must tear apart. Only once the alignment is right does the sharpness of the blades come in handy. One is nothing without the other. That's why our Chroma Scissors (and all good scissors) have both.
