This Mental Health Awareness Month join us for simple practices you can try to boost your mental wellbeing and take one small step forward. It starts with giving yourself permission to feel satisfied. Research by Dr. Barry Schwartz shows that people who get stuck constantly striving for perfection have lower wellbeing. Because they chase being perfect, they never feel good enough. The good news is the people who decide what’s good enough, reach it, and then allow themselves to feel satisfied, get a wellbeing boost. That’s because satisfaction gives us the payoff for our hard work. Today, try boosting your wellbeing with this practice: 1. List three things you want to accomplish today. They can be as grand as a big project, or as simple as going for a mental health walk. 2. Thinking about what you want to accomplish, what would be good enough to feel satisfied? It’s okay to have a high standard; but remember it doesn’t have to be perfect. 3. When you reach your good enough threshold, give yourself permission to feel satisfaction. Even if you decide to keep striving, feeling satisfied with your work so far fills you up to want to accomplish more. lemon 🤝🏻 ginger I just love a drink that is delish, refreshing, & can help promote gut health!! This one is made with @twiningsusa Lemon & Ginger tea plus a bit of homemade ginger syrup to pack a serious flavor punch 🫚🍋 Recipe: 1. Steep 1 @twiningsusa Lemon & Ginger tea bag in 1/2 cup boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove tea bag and let cool. 2. Begin making the homemade ginger syrup by adding 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and 1 cup sliced ginger to a pot. Bring to a boil then let simmer for 10 minutes. Strain out ginger and let cool before using. 3. Grab a fresh glass. Add ice, juice from half a lemon, 1 oz ginger syrup, and cooled tea. Top with club soda and a slice of lemon. This Green Tea Margarita recipe is on deck for Cinco de Mayo tomorrow 🍹Save this post to re-create one of our favourite cocktails (or mocktail) all season long! ✨  Green Tea Margarita Recipe: 1.Boil 6-8oz of water, then steep 1 Twinings Green Tea bag for 2 minutes. Let cool. 2. Add 3oz of Tequila (or non-alcoholic spirit) to a shaker with ice. Add the chilled Green Tea and fresh squeezed lime. Shake well.  3. Salt or sugar a glass rim with extra lime juice. 4. Add ice and drink mixture to your glass, garnish with a lime & enjoy!
