KN6 Dark Grey Pearl is one of the rarer and more sought-after factory colors for the Nissan R33 Skyline GT-R. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V (Evo 5) is a legendary sports sedan that debuted in 1998. It was the fifth generation of Mitsubishi’s rally-bred Evolution series, developed to dominate both on the road and in Group A rally racing. Under the hood, the Evo 5 features the 4G63T 2.0L turbocharged inline-four engine, putting out around 276 horsepower (officially limited due to Japanese regulations, though real output was often higher). It came with all-wheel drive, a close-ratio 5-speed manual transmission, and Active Yaw Control (AYC), giving it insane grip and cornering agility for its time. Compared to the Evo 4, the Evo 5 had: • A wider track and flared fenders • Larger Brembo brakes • Lightweight forged Enkei wheels • More aggressive aero, including a new front bumper and rear wing Now, in black, the Evo 5 looks especially mean. It's not a complete trip to Japan without shooting a few snaps in front of @7eleven. I found a few of these original brochures of the Honda Integra Type-Rx. I discovered a few more things since I've been driving around Japan in this car. There is a very helpful article from IntegraTypeR.org explaining most of the differences. For the final DC2 model year in Japan (2000), the Integra Type-Rx was available. Sales began December 1999. These are sometimes referred to as 99-SpecR or 2000-SpecR. It was a standard 98-Spec Integra Type-R with factory installed accessories that were only options in previous models. The specially included features included: alloy racing pedals (covers), blue tinted faux carbon interior trim, power folding mirrors, amber dash clock, keyless entry, power antenna, Gathers Cd player, 6 speaker system, and numbered interior badge. The 2000 (including Type-RX) was the only JDM ITR with an individually numbered center console badge. From the outside and under the hood, the Honda Integra Type-Rx is really no different from the normal 98-SpecR. The only exception is the rear glass being tinted from the factory. On the inside of the JDM DC2 Integra Type-Rx you can find all of the remaining features. The faux blue interior trim, the dash including the gathers cd player and alloy pedals. The Sunlight/Phoneix yellow ITR's (offered July 1999 in the 99/2000 SpecR through end of production (including Type-RX) featured special yellow recaros, rear yellow stitched seats, and yellow stitched shift boot. Apparently only a single Type-Rx in Phoenix Yellow sold in 2002. Which was the last DC2 ever sold. The buyer was none other than Mugen! We had a chance join our friend @cocozurita at his event “Dopamine” put on with Acura, Quaker State, Vans 3M Films and some other cool parters highlighting his latest project with Acura. In the parking lot, throughout the event cars like the Toyota Supra, Nissan Skyline GT-R, Mazda RX-7, and Honda NSX. All poster cars for a generation, and now those posters are turning into garage reality. This rising wave isn’t just a trend. It’s a generational shift. These cars have moved from being “cool old imports” to culturally significant icons, and the demand shows no signs of slowing down especially as major brands and personalities find ways to bring them to the forefront.

Newer cars—while safer and more efficient—often lack the analog feel, simplicity, and character of 90s cars. The era’s mix of turbocharged engines, manual transmissions, pop-up headlights, and lightweight construction appeals to drivers who value connection over convenience. I've driven this all over Japan for the past nine days. I've had to wash it twice 🤣😂 Swipe to see underneath the car. It's hard to believe it has 137k on the odometer. Technically it's Hondas send off for the DC2 Integra. So it's called the Type-Rx and it was available for the 2000 and a half model year all the way through 2001. It has electric folding mirrors, blue tinted carbon fiber style trim inserts, different pedals, CD player and higher end audio system standard. It also has a revised intake camshaft, more finely balanced driveshafts, and improved shocks. The Type-Rx also has all the upgrades from the 1998 version. 16-inch wheels with bigger disk brakes. To provide more torque lower down the rev range, Honda fitted a higher final drive ratio and a four-to-one exhaust manifold. These changes resulted in peak torque now being developed at 6200rpm as opposed to 7500rpm. This car is about pure driving pleasure and it almost brings tears to my eyes from how much joy it gives me. Growing up in Los Angeles when I was in high school the kids with the more well off families would buy them Integra's and Civic Si's. I was so envious, but I was so happy to be able to experience them, even if it was just getting rides. During the Fast and the Furious era these Hondas were absolutely the coolest things you could drive. I'm so glad I held out for this long to get one of these as my first Honda. I bought my first Honda! It's going to be my Japan forever car! It's a 2000 model year Honda Integra DC2 Type-R. I've already put about 1500kms on it driving it all over following the cherry blossoms with my family 🌸 I'm going to leave this in Tokyo with @toprank_global so I have a car to drive anytime I'm in Japan. I don't plan on importing it to the US, as you guys already know it's very difficult to drive this car especially without it getting stolen in Los Angeles 😭 While it has 137k on the clock you can see it's so clean and it's bone stock. It's very rare to find one of these with the stock Honda radio, factory exhaust and intake. The underneath has no rust!
