Some of these bodies carried babies
Some of these bodies carried babies. Some fed them. Some were cut open. Some tore. Some healed. Some didn’t. Some still ache. Some look untouched. All of them are valid. All of them are enough. We’re not here to romanticize stretch marks or glorify bounce-backs. We’re here to normalize bodies—in all their forms. Not as “before and after.” Not as better or worse. Not as strong or soft. Just… bodies. Vehicles. Earth suits. Portals of life. However you got here, whatever shape you’re in—this is it. This is you. And that’s more than enough.

Growth requires humility
Growth requires humility. You can’t heal what you refuse to see. You can’t learn what you’ve already decided you know. Openness isn’t weakness — it’s the gateway to real change. Thinking you know everything is the fastest way to stay stuck. Curiosity is how we rebuild. Humility is how we rise. Healing asks us to get honest — not just about what hurt us, but about what we still don’t fully understand. You can’t heal what you refuse to look at. You can’t transform what you insist you’ve already mastered. Real healing begins when we admit: Maybe there’s more for me to learn. Maybe there’s more for me to unlearn, too. Healing isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about staying open enough to ask better questions. It’s about making peace with the fact that sometimes, everything we thought we knew was just the starting point. You can’t heal what you think you already understand. We must allow ourselves to be a beginner again…Curious. Honest. And brave enough to sit with the unknown.

During the last election cycle, a certain politician tried to insult women without children by calling them “childless cat ladies
During the last election cycle, a certain politician tried to insult women without children by calling them “childless cat ladies.” It was meant as a jab — a way to diminish, mock, and reduce. But women everywhere flipped the script. Taylor Swift signed off as one. Oprah spoke up. And a quiet army of women made it clear: We don’t need to have children to have value. Our worth isn’t measured in diapers or dinner tables. It’s in our decisions. Our voices. Our art. Our leadership. It’s in the boundaries we honor, the communities we build, the revolutions we birth. So we made a shirt: Cat Lady. Not a punchline — a power move. Because true freedom isn’t found in conforming. It’s in choosing what aligns. As Mother’s Day approaches, we honor all forms of motherhood — the ones who raised us, the ones who raised awareness, the ones who gave us life, and the ones who gave us something to live for
As Mother’s Day approaches, we honor all forms of motherhood — the ones who raised us, the ones who raised awareness, the ones who gave us life, and the ones who gave us something to live for. This Mother’s Day, we’re expanding the definition. We’re celebrating the women who mother in all the ways that don’t fit neatly in a greeting card. The ones who didn’t raise children, but raised consciousness. Who didn’t birth babies, but birthed movements, art, stories, and new ways of seeing the world. Motherhood isn’t always diapers and dinner tables. Sometimes it looks like organizing, creating, challenging, healing. Sometimes it means saying no to the expected, so you can say yes to something bigger. “I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat.” — Rebecca West We honor the women who made space for the rest of us — who taught us how to live, how to love, how to fight, how to make. They are mothers, too. With Love, The Bee & The Fox

Art is what happens when we refuse to be swallowed by the fire
Art is what happens when we refuse to be swallowed by the fire. It’s not just beauty—it’s rebellion. It says: this is what’s happening, but this is what I’m choosing to make from it. Art is how we alchemize pain. How we unhook what’s lodged inside us and shape it into something that moves. Not for approval. Not even for understanding. But for release. The truest art is never just the final piece. It’s the path your mind took to get there. What you stripped away. What you centered. What you chose to carry forward—and what you finally let burn. So when the world (or your life) feels like it’s on fire—make something. Sometimes the art is finding the beauty in the collapse. Even if it’s just feeling the warmth from the flames.

Meet Kaili—or as I call her, Kai
Meet Kaili—or as I call her, Kai. Kai handles customer service here at The Bee & The Fox, but more than that, she’s a dear friend. She approaches customer care the same way she approaches people in her life—with grace, honesty, and deep compassion. I credit Kai with teaching me more about authentic love than anyone else. And it’s not because of what she’s said, but because of how she lives. Through her actions, she’s shown me that love begins inward—rooted in self-acceptance—and only then extends outward with integrity. She’s taught me that authentic love is a paradox. It holds everything and nothing. It is both anchor and air. Stillness and motion. A quiet revolution in how we show up—for ourselves and for each other. Here she is, skating like the badass she is in her Women don’t owe you shit tee. Need help placing an order? Have a question or suggestion? Kai’s your girl. Shoot us an email—she’s gotchu. @kaili.boos

Motherhood burnout is a silent epidemic
Motherhood burnout is a silent epidemic. And when women start to get sick — emotionally, physically, spiritually — they’re blamed for not taking better care of themselves. As if self-neglect wasn’t built into the job description. As if exhaustion isn’t the natural result of being expected to give everything and need nothing. We’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t. Prioritize yourself? You’re selfish. Abandon yourself? You’re praised — until the toll shows up on your body, your mind, your soul. And even then, the blame is yours to carry. This isn’t just personal. It’s systemic. It’s cultural. And it’s long overdue for a reckoning. This Mother’s Day, let’s tell the truth: Self-sacrifice isn’t the measure of your love. Your exhaustion isn’t a personal failure. And you deserve a life that doesn’t ask you to break yourself to prove your worth.

Feel your feelings ✨restocked✨

It’s a hard time to be an empath

Everything going on in our country and the larger world is… A LOT
Feel your feelings ✨restocked✨ It’s a hard time to be an empath Everything going on in our country and the larger world is… A LOT. If you’re an empath, it’s REALLY a lot. Empaths tend to feel big. We feel our own feelings intensely and we feel the feelings of others. It’s a beautiful thing and can also be incredibly painful. There is so much in the news that is troubling—women dying due to pregnancy complications, people being deported without just cause or due process, autistic people being labeled as diseased. If each day brings an avalanche of emotions for you, you’re not alone. Feelings are like tunnels. The only way out is through. We have to feel the intensity of them in order to process them. It’s tempting to numb out and avoid, but research shows us that can lead to long-term mental and physical distress. That means that the best way to deal with the avalanche of feelings is to go ahead and feel them. The Trump administration is anti-empathy (we still cannot understand how this is even a thing). The toxic masculinity vibes are strong. A big part of toxic masculinity is repression of feelings (which, as we can see on a grand scale, eventually becomes EVERYONE’s problem). If you’re a feeler, someone with high emotional intelligence, it can feel lonely right now. Those in power would have you believe you’re “weird” but you’re not. There are so many of us out here. It’s not easy to find fulfilling connections in our modern world, especially when the people in charge are only interested in negativity and divisiveness. Keep your people close. Nourish the connections you do have, and savor the new people you find who are on your wavelength. That’s the only way we can all get through. Collectively, we are all feeling our feelings, and the support of likeminded others is everything.

When someone calls you “controlling,” ask yourself: Who benefits from you being blamed for trying to make life manageable
When someone calls you “controlling,” ask yourself: Who benefits from you being blamed for trying to make life manageable? Sometimes the problem isn’t you — it’s the chaos you’ve been forced to manage. Maybe you’re not controlling at all. Maybe you’re tired of cleaning up what others destroyed. Maybe you’re tired of being blamed for wanting a life that doesn’t feel like constant damage control. Maybe you’re not obsessed with control. Maybe you’re tired of drowning in other people’s storms. This Mother’s Day, we’re not just celebrating survival — we’re honoring the women who carried the weight of broken systems, cleaned up after chaos they didn’t create, and still dared to dream of something better. We don’t want flowers for suffering. We want a new world. Until then — we see you. We stand with you. We celebrate you. (And we’re giving 20% off our Mother’s Day collection through May 2nd. Because mothers deserve more than survival — we deserve joy.) -—— Quote by Leah McDermott @yournaturallearner
