1️⃣ Large Intestine 20 – “Welcome Fragrance” Start with acupressure at LI20. Gently circle clockwise 10–30x (or longer if congestion is intense), then switch directions and circle counterclockwise. If it feels tender, that’s likely pressure from stagnation—so lean into the release. 

2️⃣ Move up slowly while massaging upward along the side of your nose, pause on any tender spots. Think of it like breaking up congestion as you work your way toward the brow. 

3️⃣ Urinary Bladder 2 – “Gathered Bamboo” Once you reach the inner brow point (UB2), apply acupressure circles here too—10–30x in each direction. This one is often tender but deeply calming once you soften it. Notice how your whole nervous system responds? 

4️⃣ Gua Sha Across the Cheekbone Using your knuckles or a Gua Sha tool, stroke from the side of your nose along the cheekbone toward the top of your ear. Do this 10–30x, or more if congestion is stubborn—or it just feels really good.

Are your eyes suffering? Share this with anyone who is about to claw their eyes out! Itching will drive any person to the edges of sanity. DON’T scratch or rub. This will turn the itch from a campfire to a forest fire that feels like it doesn’t end. If you are 1) itching + 2) inflamed and red… this is the one exception I make for using a cold tool on the face. The itching from allergies usually only lasts a few minutes for minutes at a time so the key is to wait it out. A chilled Gua Sha tool or spoon will distract you from the itch until it’s over. The math is, it’s better to briefly expose yourself to a cool (never frozen) tool than scratch your eyes out and irritate the delicate skin of your eye. Oncethe itch is over, stop using the chilled tool to prevent over exposing your energy channels to coldness. Too much cold in your energy channels weakens your overall energy and we don’t want that. That will only make your allergies worse in the long run and make you vulnerable to other health problems. Share these with anyone suffering from hayfever rn💌 These classic “wind-clearing” points at the base of your skull are essential for any kind of congestion—whether from allergies, a cold, or the flu. 💭Tell me below—are you dealing with hayfever right now? What’s bothering you most and how can I help? In clinic, we use acupuncture, medical-grade gua sha, cupping, and herbs to ease your hayfever misery. At home, you can use your Gua Sha tool to gently and regularly open these points and channels, just as I’ve shown here: **Acupressure:** Place the double tips of your tool (or your knuckles) at the base of your skull. You’ll naturally hit several key wind-clearing points. Circle clockwise for 1-2 minutes, then reverse and circle counterclockwise for another 1-2 minutes. Repeat on the other side. **Gua Sha:** Finish with long, steady strokes through the base of your skull (make sure to prep your skin with oil first!). These acu-points clear *wind invasion* from the head. Now, wind is kind of a tricky concept for the Western mind to grasp. In the case of hayfever, wind is behind all that congestion, sneezing, and miserable itching. And in Spring, these symptoms come with excess heat in the system, so the combo of wind + heat blocks your energy channels. To clear your symptoms, we need to open the channels in your head—using key points along the Urinary Bladder, Gallbladder, and Du energy channels.
