When a 6-week-old kitten named Minty arrived at the emergency vet after a traumatic 15-mile ride in a car engine, she had no home, had lost a leg and part of her tail, and had every reason to be afraid. But the vet that night—our own Louise Oostdijk—did more than treat her. She adopted her. Nearly four years later, Minty is thriving, and their bond is unshakable.
