They had to be beautiful and they had to be pink. I chose outrageous fuchsia heels to start with but there was no way I’d last farther than the ceremony in them, so I went on the hunt for an equally gorgeous pair that I would be able to party away in and that’s when I found Harriet Wilde. I was immediately taken by the delicate embellishment and the way the pink ribbon pairs so well with the veil for a very romantic look. I don’t have neat little feet meaning shoe shopping can be difficult so the process of posting the shoes to try on beforehand was perfect for me to check that I’d be comfortable and could dance all night. Adding the inscription makes the shoes even more special as they’re a piece of my wedding day I can wear again and again, I mean I’d love to wear my veil again but unfortunately societal norms suggest not. It feels wonderful to take my ‘Mrs Dowdall’ shoes out of the wardrobe and get that first dance glimmer all over again.
