As discussed on JRE with @joerogan… As runners, my family doesn’t really fit in. Tanner hammered out the Eugene Marathon in 4 hours 50 something minutes, in boots and wearing a 35 lb. ruck. @just_truett in his standard issue jeans, and because it was cooler had to dress for warmth up top instead of shirtless, on the way to a 2:34 finish. This probably makes my Hank Williams t-shirt to finish Cocodona make more sense huh? 🔨🔨🔨 Edit by @maceybundt

Until I breath my last, I will carry many special memories from Cocodona this week. That said, this one will forever stand out. Thank you Orion. For those who do not know, the Cocodona 250 starts in Black Canyon City and ends in Flagsaff, AZ. Along the way runners cover mile after mile of beautiful mountain country and also reach “aid stations “ for the race in small towns along the way. For safety and race information runners wear GPS tracking devices which means anyone can look at anytime and see where we are on course, our pace, etc.. This feature allowed some super kind people to follow my progress along the 256-mile adventure. The results were homemade signs and greetings wishing me well which was powerful. Thank you to all for the love and support which gave me strength. 🙏❤️ Repost @c_jamesblack - Cocodona250 opening our son’s eyes and heart to this community and sport. 250 miles. Top 10 finish. One legendary performance. SNB Pro Athlete @mikejmcknight dug deep at the @cocodona250—grinding through heat, climbs, and his own lows to make his way into the top 10. It was a textbook display of strategy and heart, picking off runner after runner with quiet determination. And at the finish? A well-earned congrats from fellow 250-mile finisher @cameronrhanes. Two legends. One finish line. Respect. 🫡 Well done, Mike. You crushed it.

And just like that.. Cam Hanes completes the Cocodona 250. Outside of encounters with God, this was the most impactful thing I’ve ever experienced. I would go to bed and he would run through the whole night. I’ll tell my kids about this history that was made, but more importantly I’ll live my life in a new way. Thanks Cam for showing us all that we are capable of more.

84 hours, 33 minutes, 37 seconds. @cameronrhanes crossed the finish line of the 2025 Cocodona 250 with a smile—because for Cam, it’s never just about the run. On his final push to the finish, he slowed down to sign a book for a young boy who had run two miles alongside him the day before. That small gesture spoke volumes. Cam spent more time connecting with fans than celebrating himself, proving once again that who he is off the course is just as powerful as who he is on it. Relentless. Humble. Human.
