These moss balls make for a fun and easy gift that just keeps giving. They are easy to care for and a make for a great addition to any home decor. A leafless orchid before and after watering! Chiloschista parishii is a leafless orchid, so in order to photosynthesize, it has to use its roots! The roots of many orchids are photosynthetic, turning a vibrant green once they’re watered. When the roots are dry, they are a silvery grey color. The silvery outer layer is called velamen and helps in water absorption and aids in protecting the roots! We always love seeing the change these orchids have when it’s watering day. Sphaeropteris cooperi aka ‘Australian Tree Fern’! We have these beauties in 3 different sizes right now! Available in 4”, 6”, & 10”. This is an excellent fern for a high light space and can even take direct sun. They grow rather quickly if you are up on repotting and watering making for a tropical addition to any high light areas where a lot of tropical plants may burn. Open today 11-6! We just had these absolutely massive 4” pots of Platycerium bifurcatum aka ‘Staghorn Fern’ come in this week. Usually these don’t come in with shield fronds already but to our pleasant surprise they are COVERED. These make for the perfect cork mounted plant, kokedama, or potted plant.
