This Good Friday I wanted to share the story beyond the colored eggs and the 🐰 through my art. The story often too difficult to talk about and ignored in favor of the good parts. This is the story of salvation through torture, humiliation and murder. 6 hours nailed to a wooden cross, pierced by spears, and mocked with a thorn crown piercing his head. He did not fight it. He suffered on Friday… to rise again on the third day, Easter Sunday. This piece was created to show the beauty in the horror. The life that came from the death. The selfless sacrifice made out of love for people who did not love Him back. “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” - @imaginedbyx - This piece is made from premium Japanese Kipskin Leather and designed in 2023 in my Nashville, TN studio.
