The most UNDERRATED hike in California🤯🥾 #ColumbiaPartner This might be one of the most popular backpacking spots in California, but it also is one of the most underrated day hikes! It is very hard to get a wilderness permit for camping, and we struck out in the lottery, so we decided to just do it all in one day. Not only is this already a challenging trail, but we were also hiking above 11,000 ft altitude! 😮‍💨 This was a LONG day on the trail, so we’re glad we had our layers and packed enough water (3-4L minimum). We wore our @columbia1938 Blackcomb Ridge 18L backpack which had more than enough space for everything we needed. ⭐️ FINAL STATS: 17.04 miles 4,281 of elevation gain 11 hours (with breaks) This was one of the most beautiful hikes we’ve ever done, but it is not to be underestimated, especially with the altitude.
