We’re back with last week’s Clare V. Retail Report, dispatches straight from our store teams. This week’s theme? Travel. Our Brentwood shop has transformed into Le Getaway Shop, featuring an edit of our favorite travel bags and accessories (through 3/30). But across the country, our other shops noticed many of you stopping in to prep for upcoming trips, too. C & P stopped by Seattle on their way to the airport, luggage tags already on, to pick up a Libérez Les Sardines Baseball Hat for their trip, plus the Adams Card Case to tuck inside her Wallet Clutch. We had a few customers, each at different locations, come in looking for an everyday bag for upcoming European getaways. The top three choices were the Grande Fanny, Petit Moyen, and Moyen Messenger (aka, les classiques). Overall, Black Woven Zig-Zag was the standout color choice. H & R each came in searching for an elevated personal item. Both were deciding between Le Zip Sac and the Grande Bateau, our top two picks too. H landed on Le Zip Sac for the travel sleeve that slips right over your rolly suitcase and the secure zip-top closure, and added the Grande Mylar Heart Fob to make it her own. R chose the Grande Bateau for how lightweight and soft it is (plus, its stuffable silhouette). M, K, & G arrived with bags already packed but needed smaller accessories for organization. M & G both chose the Vacances for toiletries. (The Vacances might be the item that the most members of our team carry.) K upgraded her passport case to the Passport Sleeve in Oat Le Grand Départ and was relieved that it holds two passports as she’s the passport keeper. We also helped a few customers pick out birthday gifts for their travel-obsessed friends. Popular choices included Luggage Tags, many chose to monogram them, Petites Vacances, Passport Sleeves, and the Toiletry Case in Miel Old Fashion leather, a unisex classic.
