A deeper look at our Icons. The Double Knee Pant, explained.⁠ ⁠Available in stores and online. A silhouette more than 80 years in the making. Same DNA, same details, updated through a Carhartt WIP lens with new fabrics, finishes, and colorways. The Double Knee Pant is directly adapted from an archival work pant. You’ll see it in the construction details: reinforced knee paneling with metal rivets, multiple tool pockets, and a hammer loop. This was the blueprint for our Single Knee and Simple Pants. Carhartt WIP Icons are a record of continuity. Pieces largely unchanged from the American archetypes they were adapted from over a century ago. You know them by their construction: 12 oz cotton Dearborn Canvas or sturdy denim. Triple stitching. Metal rivets. Debossed shank buttons and zippers. Hamilton Brown and black remain core colorways with each collection. For Fall/Winter 2026, the palette expands with ‘tobacco’ and ‘dark navy’, in both rinsed and rigid finishes – one softer from the start, one that breaks in over time.
