It’s hard to believe BRUNT is now selling more pants than boots 👊💥 . Our 1st year in business BRUNT only had 4 styles of boots. The outdated workwear brands had hundreds of styles, but I believed quality was way more important than quantity if we wanted to build a brand that would stand the test of time and one day transform an industry. That approach allowed me to spend thousands of hours with guys who put in the work every day on just those 4 styles - maniacally obsessing over every stitch, lug, eyelet, and inch of those boots. The result was those boots have sold hundreds of thousands of pairs. . So when we decided to enter the work pant category, I took that same focused approach - refusing to sacrifice quality over quantity. This category is different than boots, it’s where the legacy brands focus their efforts on making pants as low cost as possible, which ultimately results in sacrificed quality or features, and most often both. So when I went out and spent endless hours on jobsites, chatted over after-work beers, and dissected old pairs of work pants for where (and how) they broke down, it was clear the guys on the job sites today wanted something that was built better, performed better, and didn’t break the bank. I put that same maniacal obsession that set our boots apart into every stitch, zipper, feature and inch of our pants. It’s been 3 years since we launched our first work pants, and coincidentally we now have 4 styles just like our initial boots. The result is this past holiday season the love for the BRUNT brand exploded - we had 9 straight days of our biggest days in company history selling everything on our website. The best part, it was the first time we sold more pairs of BRUNT work pants than we did boots, every day, for all 9 days. . I constantly get badgered to introduce more styles and options, in both boots and pants. But I hold firm in my approach that I believe long term if I want the BRUNT brand to stand the test of time and transform the workwear industry, that quality is way more important than quantity. And that’s how the BRUNT team will continue to build our brand and products, boot by boot, pant by pant, brick by brick. LFG.
