We spent the day with an extraordinary woman who takes animal welfare to a new level 🐾 Meet Dr. Alyssa Comroe, Veterinarian & newly appointed CEO of @peggyadamsarl Working to help her community with all things animals, Dr. Comroe has helped with several initiatives including a food pantry that specializes in helping people feed their dogs and cats when experiencing tough times so they don’t have to surrender them a shelter. The rescue league also offers a program to help women in need of a safe space to house their animals in cases of emergency, including escaping domestic violence. We chose to highlight Dr. Comroe because she defied all expectations in being promoted to CEO as a woman, but we also chose her because of her ability to zoom out. She looks not only at how she can make impact on the animals and staff in her care, but to the animals and pets in her community. If you’re looking to adopt, we know a place ;)
